Founded by former beauty pageant winner, Jenna Edwards in 2000, FAD has touched the lives of over 4,500 sick children by creating emotionally therapeutic experiences and providing them and their families with a joyful and much needed diversion from the strain of chronic treatment. By incorporating make believe and play therapy to give each hospitalized child the opportunity to imagine and live out a fantasy and a much needed respite from their current situation. The program's success is based on the opportunity to engage and support these children with various "play" programs, in turn making their illness and hospital routine secondary.
